Ubuntu 24.04.1 + Cacti Version 1.2.26 - plugin gexport is in the right folder but missing in Cacti

Issue Title: Ubuntu 24.04.1 + Cacti Version 1.2.26 - Plugin gexport is in the right folder but missing in Cacti

Description:
We are currently running Cacti Version 1.2.26 on Ubuntu 24.04.1. The gexport plugin has been placed in the correct directory but it is not appearing within the Cacti user interface under the Plugin Management section.

Steps Taken:

1. We confirm that the gexport plugin is located in the correct folder .
2. We set the correct permissions in the plugin folder.
3. Restarted Apache and the Cacti service after installing the plugin.

Expected Behavior:
The gexport plugin should appear in Cacti's Plugin Management section once placed in the correct directory and after restarting the necessary services.

Actual Behavior:
The plugin does not show up in the Plugin Management interface, and there is no error message or indication in the logs that explains why it is missing.

System Details:

• OS: Ubuntu 24.04.1
• Cacti Version: 1.2.26
• PHP Version: 8.3
• Web Server: Apache 2.4.58

Request:
Assistance is required to determine why the gexport plugin is not being recognized by Cacti despite being placed in the correct folder and the appropriate services being restarted.

Okay, that's odd. Did you install from packages? Also, you should not have to restart anything after installing Gexport. BTW, what a nutty name. Some times, you wished you did not name things a certain way. Too late now.

If installing from package, Debian may have relocated the plugin folder. Of that, I'm uncertain.

In our environment cacti was installed via packages and is located in /opt/cacti/

I saw this post.. and I realize it is old. But I noticed you are putting the plugin in the /opt/cacti/plugins directory. If you are using an Ubuntu 24.04 system (like I am) - that isn't the correct directory for it. The correct directory is /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins. HOWEVER, there is a README.Plugins file in there and I followed the instructions as noted in there:

If you read this and care about keeping your system maintainable, please change
the layout of the plugins structure of cacti. Due to the way a lot of plug-ins
are written (details in bug #681558) in combination with Debian policy, I can
not fix this in the package.

• Create a directory /usr/local/share/cacti/plugins:
  mkdir /usr/local/share/cacti/plugins
• Move all content of /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins to
  /usr/local/share/cacti/plugins
  mv /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins/* /usr/local/share/cacti/plugins/
• Remove the empty /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins directory
  rmdir /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins
• Create the following symlinks:
  ln -s /usr/local/share/cacti/plugins /usr/share/cacti/site/plugins
  ln -s /usr/share/cacti/site/include /usr/local/share/cacti/include
  ln -s /usr/share/cacti/site/lib /usr/local/share/cacti/lib
