Description of the bug

Kodi version is 21.2
Hardware is Raspberry Pi 5 on LibreElec.

After logging in, I select my default profile (or any other) I am presented with a 404 error message and progress from this point is impossible. This just started half way through the evening yesterday. Earlier I had been watching Netflix fine. I then watched another programme via a different add-in, but on returning to Netflix I got the behaviour described. Looking at the log file in Kodi the message content is

requests.exceptions.HTTPError: 404 Client Error: Not Found for url: https://www.netflix.com/nq/website/memberapi/release/pathEvaluator?drmSystem=widevine&falcor_server=0.1.0&withSize=false&materialize=false&routeAPIRequestsThroughFTL=false&isVolatileBillboardsEnabled=true&isTop10Supported=true&original_path=%2Fshakti%2Fmre%2FpathEvaluator

I also tried the PR patch #1783 which seemed to be relevant, but unfortunately it didn't fix this problem for me/

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. Log in
2. Select default profile (or any other)
3. See the 404 error, no further progress is possible.

Starting today, I’ve been getting the same message, except it appears immediately after launching the Netflix add-on. Perhaps that’s because I only have one profile.

My configuration:
RPi5 with LibreELEC 12.0.2
Netflix add-on 1.23.5+matrix.1
Inputstream Adaptive version 21.5.9.1

On a similar note, switching profile was already giving me a 404 since a few days (weeks maybe).

While looking at this, I only realize now that Netflix does not publishe their API (since 2014?)! Or am I wrong?
Does anyone know how to figure the new routes to fix this issue?

Got it: switching profile could be fixed in #1783.

I have not tried it yet and @CastagnaIT seems to have some concerns about that PR.

In any case, this issue is about some other API call (though, also involving this shakti endpoint?):

I suppose someone w/ a valid membership needs to observed the requests made by its browser (Web Developer tool/console) to try to figure what Netflix has changed on its website.

I might have a look at this over the WE if nobody has done it before.

Issue confirmed, error since 10.06.2026. Renew of key file does not help. It must be the api change.

Try this (partial) update to the new api.
Playback works, as well as watch status, new and popular.
Search doesn't work yet, and surely other calls don't either, I haven't checked all of them yet.
