I really love the platform and the project in general!
Currently I am building personal agent for automating my research processes on top of FutureHouse's API. My current researches are also country-based, since my general idea is to see what is the current SOTA in the world and compare to the country where I live to understand what can be improved and how.
To solve this problem I am building a custom search agent, that will find me local papers in my country, that were not published world-wide (universities, gov project reports, etc..) after what I pass this documents to the PaperQA2 on my local machine to ask questions that I am interested in (similar questions I asked on FutureHouse platform for a world-wide search) and next I compare two results and identify what can be improved in the country I am living already.
There is no problems on my side, but I though that adding a custom MCP server feature would simplify this exact use case and will give more flexibility to the users.
For example I can pass the MCP server host with flag "primary" to replace your default search tools but keep the logic of your agent. Or I can use an "additional" flag to add one more source of papers to the list. There are some other use cases of the custom MCP feature, it can be post filtering, context from web or RAG, integration with other platforms and more.
I understand you guys have a lot on your plate, do not expect you to take a look at this right now. Hope this might be useful.
