Is Zanaris considered "another realm" for the sake of talismans or is it still part of the "overworld"?

So I made an overworld.areas.toml that I was going to share along with a change to check if the player was in zanaris while using the cosmic talisman.

However when I looked inside the folder structure itself I noticed Zanaris is considered to be part of misthalin. Is that canon? I don't remember the exact interactions back then so I don't want to send a bad PR.
