Problem with Audacity and connextion

I use RaySession 0.17.2 on Fedora 43.
I've got a session with Audacity + non-mixer-xt.
Audacity is connected to non-mixer-xt. The setup is made via the Audio Setup -> Playback device -> non mixer xt - audacity.
I then play an audio file via audacity.
From time to time, a connexion is made between audacity and non-mixer-xt and from time to time, between audacity and non-mixer-xt + the audio output.

I made a small video showing this problem:

I don't know if it's an audacity bug or a ray session one ...

I really doubt that it could be a RaySession bug. I think the problem is that Audacity always reconnects its ports to the default ports (first hardware ports available). Normally it does it each time you stop/play with audacity, but I don't see you doing this, strange. If you look correctly the audacity ports in the patchbay, their name change.

A good workaround for this is to launch audacity inside a carla-patchbay client. Add "Carla-Patchbay" to RaySession, then in carla-patchbay, add Application and type audacity as executable. This way, audacity will always reconnect to the carla-patchbay outputs, and this ports will have fixed names in the main patchbay.

Tested various cases:

• with a filter on wireplumber -> does not work
• with a deactivation of jack.autoconnect in a pipewire configuration file -> does not work
  It looks like the problem comes from portaudio which forces a connection ...
  I will use the carla-patchbay to fix the problem.

The problem is fixed via carla-patchbay. Maybe we can close this ticket ..
