Testing results

Kompakkt was tested on a test instance and here I am collecting the bugs that I found.

Everything regarding the right system was tested and documented in an extra session

Bugs:

• When I register from the Login window, the login window doesn`t disappear in the background and even if I finished the registration and therefore I am logged in, the window stays there. I think it should either be removed after this step or it should be mandatory to log in again. But I think it is more common that the user is automatically logged in after the registration
• Changing profiles doesn't work correctly. We already talked about this issue in a meeting
  Collections:
• On the test instance it didn't work to save the title and description for new collections, the window just stayed there. But on the live version of kompakkt it works, so I am not sure if this is a bug now.
• The objects don't appear in the "Remove objects" window
• The information for adding one or multiple objects to one or more collections should be tested again. Sometimes there were mistakes and there was the information that an object was added to a collection even though it was already in there.

Metadata:

• The field can be pulled outside of the window, that should not be possible. Should the field be automatically adjusted?

• When I edit a role the boxes are checked like it is set right now, except for the "Other" field. This should also be filled out, if it was filled out before

• Why is there a "range"? Can't you just say one specific date? I am not sure if this is a bug or if I misunderstood it.

• I can add empty Creations

• A long description in Bibliographic references looks like this:

• When closing the metadata, I always get asked if I want to close the Upload, event when I was in Editing mode for the object and download is already done

Viewer:

• Annotation walkthrough: The perspective does not adjust right now. Usually if annotations have different perspectives, it should also change in the walkthrough
• I can already add annotations in the collection browser. That's a bit confusing, because there I am not in the annotation/editing mode.

Design:

• I feel like there is way to much distance between the input fields in Login and Registration window. I think that's a general input field issue that we have to look into again. (also in Metadata fields)
• Distance from "License" to the first License could be bigger
• There is a gap from the tag to the left boarder:

• Distance from the boxes should look the same:

• When uploading an object, it says "Edit object" in the settings, here it should still say "New object" and the object is not ready for annotations in the upload, right?

• Use the garbage can symbol without the X here

• When changing the roles, the window size varies, it should stay the same size, but the gap inside can change.
