This is a great idea!On Sep 16, 2026, at 1:22 PM, Darshan Rajput ***@***.***> wrote:
I would like to suggest creating a dedicated community chat space (for example, a Discord server or another suitable platform) for TensorRT-Model-Connect developers, contributors, and users.
GitHub Discussions are useful for long-form discussions, feature ideas, Q&A, and announcements. However, a real-time community channel could make it easier for contributors to communicate and collaborate on day-to-day development.
Possible uses
💬 General discussion about TensorRT-Model-Connect
🛠️ Development and implementation discussions
🤝 Contributor onboarding and guidance
🐛 Help with debugging and development issues
🔧 Discussion around new model integrations
📚 Sharing useful resources, tutorials, and experiments
🚀 Discussing contribution ideas before opening an issue or PR
🔍 Helping contributors find areas where they can contribute
📢 Community announcements and events
🎥 Discussion around technical livestreams or community sessions
🙌 Showcasing projects, experiments, and contributions
Possible channel structure
#general
#contributors
#development
#help
#model-integration
#pull-requests
#ideas
#showcase
#announcements
The goal would not be to replace GitHub Issues or Discussions. Instead, GitHub could remain the place for official issues, proposals, documentation, and decisions, while the chat channel could be used for faster community communication and collaboration.
Question
Would the maintainers and community be interested in having a dedicated real-time communication channel for developers and contributors?
If Discord is not preferred, another community platform could also work. I'm mainly suggesting a dedicated space where contributors can communicate, learn from each other, and collaborate more easily.

Yes, I think it's a good proposal. I’ll inform @yifeif-nv and discuss this with him. It will help us discuss and notify something promptly. BTW just wondering if you knew @yifeif-nv held a livestream last week? Please feel free to watch the replay if interested. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcqQDpRd7nM |

Hello all, I just want to provide an update on this. We have discussed with our community team at NVIDIA, and we will soon be announcing a new channel in the NVIDIA Developer Community Discord for TensorRT and ModelConnect related topics so we can get more real-time interactions and get questions and problems resolved faster. |

Hey all! I'm happy to annouce that we are now having a discord channel at NVIDIA Developer Community discord server https://discord.com/channels/1019361803752456192/1298760421930696714 Please go check it out and leave comments / questions for a more instant interaction. We could also consider something like a bi-weekly office hour to ask question live. |
