Issue with Gicisky BLE EPD BWR 2.9" after upgrade to 3.0.x#124

Everything worked fine with version 2.0.2, but after upgrading the integration to 3.0.x, it fails to load.
If I remove the tag, it is no longer discovered automatically. However, if I reinstall the old version of the integration, it is discovered immediately again.
I am using an ESPHome BLE Proxy. What could be wrong?
