Ran this on a system for the first time, and after 22 seconds received this error:

Msg 8152, Level 16, State 2, Procedure sys.xp_readerrorlog, Line 1 [Batch Start Line 8]
String or binary data would be truncated.

Not sure what information to include about the system (default instance, 16.0.4262.2) to help diagnose; was surprised it didn't yield the more verbose message about table/column.

Was able to get past this error by changing the definition of any temp tables or table variables that take [xp|sp]_readerrorlog output to accept nvarchar(255) for ProcessInfo and nvarchar(max) for ErrorLogText - which were 50 or 128 or 255 or 1000 (and sometimes varchar, which could lose data). I also changed them all to consistently accept datetime2 for LogDate (most already had the newer type, but at least one still used datetime).

For the process 128 is probably okay, and for text probably 4000 is okay, but prefer to future-proof.
