Battery shopping list

We all have templates or cards that do things like this and show our devices in need of battery care

we even have our maintenance dashboard now showing all those on tile cards

what we don’t have is a list of required replacement batteries for those

Wouldn’t it be cool if battery-notes could provide us with that, based on the available battery type info in the integration ?

Suppose we could template that too, but a ready made list would be awesome…

This is something I've been thinking about as well.

I'm not a front end dev and just vibe coded a UI element to get a feel for what could be possible. I will NOT be releasing anything until I understand and can maintain front end code without AI.

Here's a screenshot of what I had, very bare bones and I'd want actions, filters, groups etc.

No promises when this will come, realistically I'm not sure it will be this year but happy to discuss features.

Those templates are hard on dev tools.... and of course produce something for a markdown card. Not an output I can create cards with in the front end.

So not final yet, but is is a good start

I don't know if you've seen but there's some community contributions for templates/cards that may be useful. As others have said on Discord Battery+ is probably the best solution for a lot of this due to it having all the attributes.

yes I did see that, but coolant rally ind what I wanted, and b) prefer not to use yet another custom card.

That's interesting, I think my dashboard panel would be able to do that, once I'm comfortable with that approach, and I think you can embed that into existing dashboards.
More of an automation/notification person myself so always interesting to see what visual use cases are being implemented.

Yes I love those tables have them for all sorts of 'glance devices'
