Same issue here on CachyOS. Related to 0.9.4 requiring libdex 1.2 beta which is not available in default arch/Cachy?

Edit: libdex 1.2 beta is available in arch in Gnome Unstable repo...shouldn't have to change repos to update bazaar?

There is already an issue on Arch Linux packaging.

I encounter the same issue. It seems that bazaar depends on libdex but bundles a full copy of libdex, so pacman absords with file exists in filesystem.

Libdex 1.2 can be statically linked to bazaar. That being said, Arch should probably downgrade bazaar to 0.9.3 until libdex 1.2 is available.

only workaround i found for the meantime was removing the bazaar package, which cannot be reinstalled again until this issue is fixed, but at least now i can upgrade packages again.

You can ignore bazaar and update rest of packages.
sudo pacman -Syu --ignore=bazaar
