Running dora fails on Mac

I solved it by copying dora.pl to my /Users/phl/bin directory and then running dora from my Git repo using the full path (/Users/phl/bin/dora.pl).

where did the install.pl script put dora.pl to begin with? I thought it would be /Users/phl/bin/dora
Is /Users/phl/bin? on the PATH? I thought that dora should be executable from anywhere if so.

I am thinking either it was

• a permissions thing to do with the chmod settings?
• maybe /Users/phl/bin not on the PATH?
• maybe the .pl extension is needed?

It did put dora in /Users/phl/bin/dora but with no file suffix, so I could not run it (I think it wasn't marked as executable too).

My PATH does not contain /Users/phl/bin. Here's my current PATH:
/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/git/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/git/bin

So you're probably right in all of your assumptions :-)
