Remove "standardized" from BMI description

The words standardize and standardized are used loosely in the README and the documentation to describe BMI. These words have specific meanings in different fields of science. We should be careful about using them here, perhaps not at all.

I was thinking of regularize, which is more generic, and @samharrison7 proposes harmonise (or harmonize, for us in the US).

We could also just leave out the word there, I don't think it adds a lot of information;

The Basic Model Interface (BMI) is a set of functions that allows coupling of models to models and models to data.

and

The Basic Model Interface (BMI), developed by the Community Surface Dynamics Modeling System (CSDMS), is a standardized set of control and query functions that..."

I think regularized or harmonized are a bit more vague.

I agree with @BSchilperoort to keep "standard" in "BMI is a community-driven standard", as that's very unambiguous and nicely epitomises the idea behind BMI.

To throw another option in there... how about "common"? I sort of agree with Bart that you could get rid of standardize in the descriptions, but in the interest of being unambiguous, is it worth still being explicit that these functions are meant to be common across all models that expose a BMI?
