I just added this comment about Zotero to the CAWLS conference presentation page:
I have used the abstract field for publisher descriptions of books. However, it is possible to use the Extra field for the indexer to provide additional comments or even write a brief review à la Amazon. The same is true of journal articles, where the Extra field could be used to provide something other than the author abstract - thus making the Index more like an annotated bibliography.
