PolyTrackerBot - Current Status (2026-06-01 19:15 ACST)

Executive Summary

✅ Phase 2 Paper Trading LIVE with dashboard monitoring
✅ All infrastructure operational (bot, database, dashboard, API)
✅ Documentation complete and committed to GitHub
✅ Awaiting first whale signal (system monitoring active every 5 minutes)

Dashboard:       Port 3000 (Vite dev server)
Database:        SQLite at ./data/polytracker.db (56K)
Scheduler:       5 background jobs active

What's Monitoring

Wallet Discovery

  • Scanning Polymarket leaderboard for top traders
  • Currently: 55 wallets discovered and scored
  • Score range: 46.6 → 85.5
  • Runs periodically to add new high-performers

Trade Monitoring (Every 5 Minutes)

  • Checking all tracked wallets for new positions
  • Looking for entries into new markets
  • Filtering signals through 7-point viability check
  • Enforcing risk constraints (position size, daily limits)
  • Logging paper trades to database

Signal Detection

When a whale enters a new market:

  1. Trade monitor detects the position
  2. Signal filter validates:
    • Position size ≥ $500
    • Market liquidity ≥ $10k
    • Hours remaining ≥ 48
    • Market not closed
    • No duplicate positions
    • Risk limits not exceeded
  3. Paper trade logged to database
  4. Dashboard updates with trade details

  • RiskMonitor — Position sizes, daily limits, constraints

Expected Timeline

Immediate (Next 1-3 Hours)

  • Continue monitoring for first whale signal
  • Watch logs for API calls and monitoring cycles
  • Verify dashboard and database updates

Short Term (If Signals Appear)

  • Log paper trades to database
  • Verify risk constraints enforced
  • Confirm dashboard reflects trades
  • Check Telegram alerts (if configured)

Phase 3 Transition (After Validation)

Criteria:
✓ No critical errors in logs
✓ Paper trades logged successfully
✓ Risk constraints working
✓ Dashboard accuracy verified
✓ ~30+ minutes successful operation

Next: EXECUTION_MODE=DEMO
- Real orders on Polymarket demo account
- Actual money at risk (demo funds)
- ~1 week observation before production

Known Limitations

  1. 404 Errors — Expected for ~50% of wallet queries (wallet not accessible)
  2. Signal Timing — Depends on whale trading activity (may take hours)
  3. WebSocket Updates — Dashboard currently loads from DB, not real-time yet
  4. Database Backup — No automated backups configured yet
