Question: distribution of XeSS SDK libraries on Linux

I noticed pretty early that XeSS support in Proton/Wine is in the works here: ccallawa-intel/wine@69ee8e7
So I have two questions to Intel devs about this:

• Is there any ETA when it will be in some working "experimental" state publicly?
• How the libraries will be distributed? Will the .so files be available in this repo? Do you work with Valve to distribute the libraries with Proton?

@HunterCZ122 no news there just yet. I'm suggest keeping track of ValveSoftware/Proton#7856 - I plan to update that issue once we have something to share.

Has there been any update on this so far? Considering how Intel wants the Arc Pro GPUs like my B70 to run local AI well on Linux it's confusing to see them not care about us being able to use the XMX cores for XeSS

I second this, it would be critical to have XeSS SDK Libraries for Linux, enabling to use XMX core. A lot of new devices are coming out with Intel Arc G3 Extreme like MSI Claw and OnePlayer X3 and probably many other will follow since the new chip is the first material upgrade to handheld/mobile SOCs compared to older Z1/Z2 generations, so it will become more and more critical to natively support XeSS leveraging on native XMX cores as an alternative to FSR4.
