Halloween seemed like a good excuse to experiment with something I've wanted Tiny Engineer to support from the beginning: mods.
So I gave him a small seasonal makeover:
🎃 Pumpkin head
🧪 Cauldron instead of the coffee mug
👻 Spooky desk lamp

Halloween isn't really the point
I'd like Tiny Engineer to become something people can modify, remix and make their own.
Change the head. Redesign the desk. Add accessories. Give him new tools. Turn him into a completely different character or come up with something I haven't thought of.
The Halloween edition is just my first example.
What would you turn Tiny Engineer into?
🔌 Making Tiny Engineer easier to build
There's progress on another important direction too: reducing the barrier to building the hardware.
I'm working on a dedicated Tiny Engineer PCB that replaces much of the manual wiring and makes the electronics significantly cleaner and easier to assemble.
The first batch of boards has now arrived and is working. I still need to make the final adjustments to the desk enclosure, but we're getting close.
You can follow the PCB work and implementation details in PR #46:
#46
I'm also checking whether there's enough interest to organize a small community batch of assembled PCBs.
If you'd potentially want one for your own Tiny Engineer, let me know in Discussion #50:
