How long does it usually take to get a review for a new package? #426452
|
Hello everyone! 👋 I submitted my first package PR (#424631 - Kirill638849776.CatAI) about 4 days ago. All checks have passed, CLA is signed, and the package works correctly locally. It was assigned to Stephen Gillie (@stephengillie), but there has been no review yet. I completely understand that maintainers are busy, and I don't want to be pushy. However, I wanted to ask:
I just want to make sure I'm following the process correctly and not missing anything on my side. Thank you for your hard work maintaining this repository! 🙏 P.S. Here's my PR for reference: #424631 |

I think it's a critical issue. Change the Architecture in the installer YAML from x86 to x64 and see if that helps. |

I don't submit many pull requests but my previous one was in the region of 2 and a half weeks and my current one is still waiting after exactly 2 weeks so far. So based on my very limited experience, I guess at least 2 to 3 weeks. The thread which Imre Eilertsen (@DandelionSprout) linked above definitely seems to imply this is a known pain point right now. However some things seem to get through in literally a handful of days. I'm not clear where the difference comes from - whether there's any kind of reputational system at play or whether frequent contributors get a quicker response. |

Review times vary, but for new packages it is typically 1-2 weeks. A few things to know:
Your PR passing all checks and having CLA signed means you have done everything right on your side. Just needs patience now. |
