From 0fa8ea83f299648443fdb2c856095864aedd916d Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: shytypes Date: Mon, 12 Oct 2026 16:06:27 +0100 Subject: [PATCH] Add git to crane dev shells On macOS, /usr/bin/git is an xcode-select shim that locates the real binary via DEVELOPER_DIR. Nix's Darwin stdenv points DEVELOPER_DIR at its pinned Apple SDK, which contains only xcrun, so git fails with "tool 'git' not found" inside the dev shells. Adding git to the shared crane devShell packages puts nix's git ahead of the shim on PATH. This covers the default, nightly, stable and msrv shells.
