Export & print tagged documents (native export + batch print to PDF/paper) #75

Description

@markkerzner

Requested by Stephen Yeager (Divine Litigation Solutions).

The need: a simple way to get the tagged documents out of review, without the full court-ready production machinery. Two related capabilities:

  • Export tagged documents as native files — tag a set → export → a zip of the natives, as-is. No Bates, no imaging, no load file.
  • Print tagged documents — a print function over the tagged set so the user can print to PDF or to paper. (Steve: "really we need a print function to be able to print tagged documents.")

Placement

Standalone action and/or inside the FreeEed Viewer — Steve: "by itself or both." (Viewer = #70.)

Scope / relationship to production

This is the lightweight cousin of the full ESI production (#61 tag → Bates → images/text/natives → load files; FreeEed#551). Deliberately simpler — no Bates, no load files — just "give me my tagged docs" as natives and/or printed. FreeEed already renders doc→PDF via soffice for imaging, which the print-to-PDF path can reuse over the tagged selection.

Environment

Review app, Windows build.
