This issue was introduced in Gnome >=46, and ~5 releases later, those heathens have not fixed it. I know that it works on Hyprland ( or technically Mako which is the daemon I use ). We should see if it works on every other major DE ( pretty sure it does ).
A workaround would be adding .on_close whenever we call a notification, which is what was being done before.
