What

Sets up winget distribution for OpenCherry Desktop and fixes the branding inconsistency that broke the first submission.

  • Add winget manifests for 4nrry.OpenCherryDesktop 0.0.1 under packaging/winget/ (installer, en-US locale, version).
  • Add .github/workflows/winget.yml — auto-submits future GitHub releases to microsoft/winget-pkgs via winget-releaser on release: released.
  • Standardize productName in tauri.conf.json: "opencherry" → "OpenCherry".

Why

The initial winget PR (microsoft/winget-pkgs#395223) failed validation with a hash mismatch. Root cause: productName had been changed to lowercase "opencherry", so a June rebuild produced lowercase-named artifacts (opencherry_…) whose .sha256 diverged from the capital-named installer (OpenCherry_0.0.1_x64-setup.exe) actually served in the v0.0.1 release.

Restoring productName: "OpenCherry" is more than cosmetic:

  • Installer/artifact filenames and the Windows Add/Remove Programs DisplayName go back to OpenCherry, matching the window title, the winget PackageName ("OpenCherry Desktop"), and the already-published 0.0.1 installer.
  • winget upgrade detection matches on DisplayName — keeping it OpenCherry ensures a future 0.0.2 is recognized as an upgrade of the installed 0.0.1.

The filename↔productName casing link is demonstrated directly by the v0.0.1 release, which contains both a capital-productName build (OpenCherry_…-setup.exe) and a lowercase one (opencherry_….dmg).

Reviewer notes

  • installer.yaml's InstallerSha256 (E3D57B…A5D67) matches the exe actually served in the v0.0.1 release; the winget PR was updated to the same value and its Error-Hash-Mismatch / Needs-Author-Feedback labels have cleared.
  • The v0.0.1 GitHub release had two orphaned/misleading .sha256 sidecars removed as part of this cleanup.
  • identifier (ai.opencherry.desktop), Moniker, and the repo slug stay lowercase intentionally — those follow reverse-DNS / package conventions.
  • winget.yml's installers-regex (_x64-setup\.exe$) is casing-agnostic, so the auto-submit stays robust regardless of prefix casing.

… productName

Add the winget-pkgs submission for 4nrry.OpenCherryDesktop 0.0.1 (installer,
locale, and version manifests) plus a workflow that auto-submits future
GitHub releases to microsoft/winget-pkgs.

Standardize productName in tauri.conf.json from "opencherry" to "OpenCherry".
The lowercase value was producing lowercase installer/artifact filenames and a
lowercase Windows Add/Remove Programs DisplayName, diverging from the published
"OpenCherry" branding and the already-shipped 0.0.1 installer. Realigning it
keeps artifact names consistent and preserves winget upgrade detection (which
matches on DisplayName).

The installer manifest's InstallerSha256 matches the x64 setup.exe actually
served in the v0.0.1 release (e3d57b...a5d67).
