Axir Clinic - Smart NFC & QR Display Stand

A modular NFC and QR stand designed and manufactured for Axir Clinic to replace standard plastic display cards on the reception table.

The physical stand routes patients directly to a custom digital portal hosted on GitHub Pages: https://anasaltayb.github.io/Axir-Website/

Technical Highlights

  • Modular Insert System: The QR plate is designed as an independent body. If the digital link or QR pattern changes in the future, only the insert plate is re-printed instead of discarding the entire stand.
  • Hardware Enclosure: A 2.0 mm internal clearance was engineered between the main body and the top cover to hold standard NFC tags securely without exposure.
  • Print & Multi-Body Optimization: Split into 4 separate bodies before printing. This approach allowed optimizing the FDM print orientation for each part to improve surface finish and strength while avoiding costly single-plate filament swaps.
  • Material Contrast: Integrated laser-cut gold plexiglas lettering for the "AXIR" logo directly into the 3D printed chassis.

Manufacturing & Specs

  • Main Body: High-Speed PLA (FDM Printed)
  • Logo Inlay: Gold Plexiglas
  • CAD & Surface Design: SolidWorks (Chassis) & Blender (Patterns and QR)
  • Assembly: Cyanoacrylate bonding

Repository Structure

  • CAD/: SolidWorks source files and SLDPRT model.
  • Docs/: Assembly photos and physical product shots.
  • index.html, style.css, script.js: Source files for the GitHub Pages landing site, you can check them in "https://github.com/AnasAltayb/Axir-Website".

Deployment

The NFC tag and physical QR code link directly to the repository's root deployment on GitHub Pages, providing a lightweight front-end tailored for fast mobile loading.

About

A formal NFC stand that I built for a clinic rather than the oldish QR code stand, that added a touch of luxury on on the reception table, and I added a linktree website built by me on github pages "https://anasaltayb.github.io/Axir-Website/".
