Summary

  • Add Defender-native Automation and playbook health workbook content to Sentinel SOAR Essentials, with the V3.1 solution package at version 3.2.2.
  • Include the offline migration toolkit changes required by this work; this is not a solution-only PR.
  • Fix unified-health conversion without double-counting sources already explicitly present in a query.

Latest converter fix

  • For SentinelHealth-only queries, retain the normalized fuzzy SOCHealth/SentinelHealth union.
  • When both health sources are already explicit, normalize existing SOCHealth branches without inserting another health source.
  • Preserve native SOCHealth columns, branch filters, joins, legitimate row multiplicity, and unrelated target-table lineage.
  • Keep conversion replay idempotent and report reserved-alias collisions.
  • Update the converter integrity manifest and add focused regressions.

Validation

  • Local affected migration suites: 573 tests and 30 subtests passed across seven modules.
  • Previously recorded workbook/package authoring and ARM-TTK validation were not rerun for this converter-only follow-up; no solution/package files were changed by the follow-up commit.
  • Live Advanced Hunting execution and Defender portal UI qualification have not been performed.

Scope

This draft contains public solution content and deterministic offline converter changes. It does not deploy resources or establish live tenant data availability or runtime parity.

Add a deterministic workbook rewrite that expands SentinelHealth sources into a normalized fuzzy union of SOCHealth and SentinelHealth. Keep connector-optional handling limited to SentinelHealth, add schema/workload metadata and focused tests, and regenerate the Automation Health package.

Contribution License Agreement

This Contribution License Agreement (“Agreement”) is agreed to by the party signing below (“You”),
and conveys certain license rights to Microsoft Corporation and its affiliates (“Microsoft”) for Your
contributions to Microsoft open source projects. This Agreement is effective as of the latest signature
date below.

  1. Definitions.

that is delivered by You to Microsoft under this Agreement.
“Project” means any of the projects owned or managed by Microsoft and offered under a license
approved by the Open Source Initiative (www.opensource.org).
“Submit” is the act of uploading, submitting, transmitting, or distributing code or other content to any
Project, including but not limited to communication on electronic mailing lists, source code control
systems, and issue tracking systems that are managed by, or on behalf of, the Project for the purpose of
discussing and improving that Project, but excluding communication that is conspicuously marked or
otherwise designated in writing by You as “Not a Submission.”
“Submission” means the Code and any other copyrightable material Submitted by You, including any

property rights in Your Submission by contract or applicable law, You must secure permission from Your
employer to make the Submission before signing this Agreement. In that case, the term “You” in this
Agreement will refer to You and the employer collectively. If You change employers in the future and
desire to Submit additional Submissions for the new employer, then You agree to sign a new Agreement
and secure permission from the new employer before Submitting those Submissions.
  5. Licenses.
  • Copyright License. You grant Microsoft, and those who receive the Submission directly or
