Summary

Port the reviewed customer documentation from main PR #142
(37816004a0b7e0b670e9418016ebba3cf552dea2) to mac-author-build.

  • Keep download-first onboarding and optional advanced workflows.
  • Require Microsoft.OSConfig PowerShell module 1.4.10+ on the machine
    creating the Machine Configuration package
    , separate from PowerShell 7,
GuestConfiguration, and the local oscfg CLI.
  • Preserve macOS Author instructions, all mac release history, package
version 0.3.101-author.1, and its author-only capability boundary.
  • Resolve documentation-only branch differences; no package, application
runtime, or workflow changes and no cross-merge of the active branches.
  • Include the shared documentation regression guards.

Validation

Static validation passed: 208 links/anchors, all 37 chapters retained,
20 PowerShell syntax parses, four mocked module-selection cases,
33 documentation/preservation assertions, example YAML schema and whitespace
checks. No local Node.js/npm execution or live package/Azure deployment.

Normal hosted PR checks, documentation build, and the native macOS
author-build/capability guard must pass before merging. No tag or release is
created. Main's published documentation has already been verified at
https://azure.github.io/ConfigForge/.
