It is a large, intricate WebUI rewrite stacked on an unmerged branch and explicitly lacks rendered browser verification, so final human review is warranted.
Pull request overview
This PR replaces the Control WebUI's top-tab navigation with a persistent grouped sidebar (plus an accessible mobile drawer), adds a server-aware header with a bounded command-style search, and rebuilds the Overview page into a real dashboard driven by the existing overview, vote-site-health, and vote-log-summary inspections. All rendering stays read-only and uses safe DOM/text APIs, and existing capability/session/CSRF/preview-apply infrastructure is preserved. It is intentionally stacked on the unmerged PR #11 branch and is meant to be retargeted to main afterward.
Changes:
- New sidebar/drawer navigation, header search shortcuts, and contextual header action, wired through
openWorkspace/autoLoadTabwith focus-trap and outside-click handling. - New Overview dashboard: six bounded summary cards, Attention Required feed, quick actions, logged-service activity bars, and recent operations, with strict client-side normalization (
normalizeDashboard*,finiteCount) and adashboardLoadedContextgate that treats failed/incomplete/malformed sub-inspections as warnings rather than "Healthy". - Responsive CSS for the shell and updated README/
control-management.mddocumenting the health/accuracy boundaries and thevote-log-summarycount/legacyvotesalias.
