Preserve player identity across asynchronous cooldown rewards - #1738
Bulk cooldown scans can clear temporary player data before asynchronous rewards read the player name. Capture the name before cleanup, keep the existing storage UUID when refreshing delayed checks, preserve completed site flags across bulk scans, and fence superseded timer callbacks.
Transient identity-refresh failures now retry the pending site at most three times, 30 seconds apart, before site processing begins. A retry never crosses into partially completed reward processing. Correlated attempted/failure diagnostics and manual reconciliation guidance cover partial or unknown outcomes; cooldown flags are never reset to replay effects. This does not provide crash-atomic reward delivery.
AdvancedCore #375 is merged. Jenkins build 1288 passed for merge 8702337fdabab732312064506df1287c824c1821 and published snapshot 3.8.2-20261030.001737-137. VotingPlugin embeds this dependency. The preceding-head hosted Maven build passed against that published snapshot; current-head CI covers the timer retry update.
Validation on the current source:
53 focused regression tests passed.
Clean Maven package: 2,937 unit tests passed, one existing optional diagnostic skipped, and five packaged-artifact checks passed.
Independent source review and focused follow-up reviews returned no findings. Tests cover temporary-cache cleanup, UUID/offline identity compatibility, command continuation, partial failures, timer replacement/shutdown and retry exhaustion.

Native Paper/Spigot/Purpur/Folia acceptance remains separate from the deterministic scheduler tests. No live-server deployment or whole-reward replay is included.

Bug Fixes
Cooldown checks now use current player and vote information, preserve player names for delayed rewards, and avoid acting on outdated timers.
Failed player-data refreshes are retried before cooldown checks proceed.
Improved handling and diagnostic logging when cooldown reward dispatch fails. Rewards may still be partial or uncertain after a failure.
Improved cooldown tracking across multiple vote sites.
Documentation
Added guidance for interpreting cooldown reward logs and verifying reward outcomes.
Cooldown checks now preserve player names across deferred work and share cooldown state across site checks. Per-site timers reject stale or stopped executions. Cooldown rewards use a shared dispatcher that logs attempts and failures.

Cooldown checks capture player names and reuse one cooldown-check map across daily sites. Tests cover deferred dispatch identity, multiple site writes, and pending cached values.
Per-site timers use generation tokens and a stopped flag. They reload users, restore stored or scheduled names, and log failures before rethrowing. Tests cover replacement, shutdown, refresh, and failure cases.
Cooldown reward dispatch and diagnostics VotingPlugin/src/main/java/com/bencodez/votingplugin/cooldown/CoolDownCheck.java, VotingPlugin/src/test/java/com/bencodez/votingplugin/tests/cooldown/CoolDownReward*Test.java, docs/cooldown-reward-reconciliation.md
Cooldown-end handlers use a shared reward dispatcher. Configured rewards receive attempt logs and asynchronous or synchronous failure handling. Tests cover dispatch outcomes; documentation describes reconciliation of uncertain results.
No identified cooldown or reward-dispatch issue remains that needs resolution before merge. Reported hosted and native-server validation is still pending.

Do not widen production APIs to make tests accessible; use narrowly scoped test-only reflection for non-public seams. Platform API fixtures that must retain an external runtime class identity (such as `net.minecraft.network.chat.Component`) stay in that platform package and must not contain test cases.

Retry the pending site before dispatch when the identity refresh fails.
A NO_CACHEPlayerName read can propagate a transient storage exception. The callback performs this read before checkPerSite, so the exception skips both the site check and successor timer creation.
The base TEMP_ONLY callback creates its successor after checkPerSite returns. The startup scan is not recurring. An all-site timer may recreate a per-site timer later, but that recovery is conditional and can delay the check. Requeue the same pending site with a bounded retry when only the identity refresh fails. Do not dispatch from a partially refreshed user or reset cooldown flags.

Fixed the outside-diff timer-refresh finding in 7746fc5. Identity refresh failures now requeue the same pending site with at most three retries, 30 seconds apart, under the existing generation fence. Superseded timers and shutdown prevent the retry from acting. The retry boundary ends before checkPerSite begins: failures after reward processing starts are never retried, and cooldown flags are never reset to replay effects. Exhaustion retains the correlated failure diagnostic; it does not claim durable delivery.
Deterministic regressions cover transient refresh failure, retry exhaustion, cancellation/replacement, shutdown and no retry after site processing begins. Validation passed 53 focused tests, 2,937 unit tests (one existing optional diagnostic skipped), five packaged-artifact checks and independent focused review. The updated AdvancedCore dependency is now merged and published; the preceding-head hosted Maven build passed against snapshot 3.8.2-20261030.001737-137. Current-head CI is running: https://github.com/BenCodez/VotingPlugin/actions/runs/40982213323 .
