Problem

The BLite port of the probing concept wrote a 958-line account of how the method runs with no prober, no covering arrays and no ledger: what each tool function became, the process as the sessions ran it, what it produced, and an adoption guide. It sat uncommitted in another repository's worktree, and TypeKit is where the method is to be tried by hand later.

Change

  • design/probing-without-tooling.md: the document, copied unchanged.
  • design/plan.md: its row in the design map.

No code, no docs page (a design/ note is compiled by nothing), no decision changed.

Tests

DocumentationLinkTests over the conventions project: 711 passed, the new page included. The document has no links into the repository.

The document the BLite port wrote on 2026-10-18, copied unchanged into design/ so the
method can be tried on this repository later without the prober, the covering arrays
and the ledger. It maps each tool function to what BLite kept, replaced or dropped,
reconstructs the process from the sessions that ran it, lists what it produced, and
ends with an adoption guide. The design map gets its row.
