…R-0027) Settings › Dictionary becomes Settings › Library: one list with a kind filter and a search, an add row that adapts to the kind, an edit sheet (term, heard, meaning, example, tags), a strength bar on every learnable entry, the provenance line, export to a file and import by the sync merge rule, and the profile (field, role, first language). The word of the day: a WordOfTheDay coordinator in TimbreKit builds the card from the pick — the user's meaning, Apple's dictionary on the Mac (DictionaryServices, labelled, never bundled), and one example sentence written by the on-device model, greedy and guarded by ExampleGuardrail, kept for the day so the card reads the same each time. The menu bar shows the word and whether it was met; a window shows the card and reads it aloud; a morning notification is off until turned on and asks for permission only then. The card rebuilds whenever the Library saves and when the day changes. Core: LibraryQuery, ExampleGuardrail, NotificationPlan, WordCard, Library.importDocument and didSave. Kit: ExampleWriter, AppleDictionary, WordNotifier, WordOfTheDay; timbre-eval --examples with its corpus. Core: 86 tests. Kit: 209 tests. Lint clean. The Mac app builds. Stacked on #66 (TimbreCore). Phase 1 of the product map: the Library as the Mac's surface, and the first surface for the word of the day.

WordOfTheDay(TimbreKit) builds the card from the day's pick: your meaning; Apple's dictionary on the Mac via DictionaryServices, labelled and never bundled; one example sentence written by the on-device model, greedy, guarded byExampleGuardrail, kept for the day so the card reads the same each time it's opened.Harness

swift-format lint --strictclean.xcodebuildof the Mac app: BUILD SUCCEEDED.sync:docsregenerated for the changelog. Not yet exercised: the app running with the new tab and window (the installed Timbre owns the hotkeys, so a second copy was not launched here). That is first on the list for the joint test.
