Refreshes the Light and Dark themes. Layout and placement are unchanged.
What changed
Light is a warm paper tone with a muted teal accent instead of near-white, and Dark is a deeper blue-slate instead of flat grey.
A subtle top-to-bottom gradient on the window background.
Text, checkboxes and layout containers are transparent so the gradient shows through. Cards share one new SurfaceBackgroundColor.
One accent colour: selected items and toggles use it instead of hard-coded pink.
Segoe UI instead of Arial, 6px button corners, and softer borders and shadows.
Why
Light was harsh (near-black text and borders on near-white, black pressed state), and a cool blue-grey tires the eyes, so it is now warm. Dark was dull (flat greys, a grey ramp on the tabs). The gradient needed the flat text and container fills removed, otherwise they showed as boxes.

Colours live in config/themes.json, with a small XAML change for the gradient and transparent containers. The two new gradient keys also get a C-prefixed Color resource in Invoke-WinutilThemeChange.ps1, and the config test allow-list is updated to match.

Summary
Theme values and gradient resources config/themes.json, functions/private/Invoke-WinutilThemeChange.ps1, pester/configs.Tests.ps1
Shared font and button values and both theme palettes are updated. Theme-change logic creates color resources for the gradient colors, and validation recognizes them.
XAML backgrounds and control styling xaml/inputXML.xaml
The main grid uses a vertical gradient. Several backgrounds become transparent or use the surface color. Toggle styling and control shadows are updated.
The checked theme-resource integration is consistent, with no identified issue requiring a fix before merge.

Before / after behavior
observed — Modified behavior in functions/private/Invoke-WinutilThemeChange.ps1: The complementary-color condition now includes MainGradientTopColor and MainGradientBottomColor; these properties are handled like the two existing names and receive a C-prefixed resource of type Color.
observed — Modified behavior in pester/configs.Tests.ps1: Adds CMainGradientTopColor and CMainGradientBottomColor to the resource names recognized by the theme-resource validation.
observed — Modified behavior in xaml/inputXML.xaml: The tab toggle’s hover shadow changes to lower opacity, shallower depth, and smaller blur; checked toggles now apply the border brush to ButtonGlow using ToggleButtonOnColor instead of setting a pink brush on the toggle, and use a lower-opacity shadow with a smaller blur.
observed — Modified behavior in xaml/inputXML.xaml: The implicit checkbox background changes from MainBackgroundColor to transparent.

Softer light palette, deeper blue-slate dark palette, a top-to-bottom background gradient, Segoe UI, rounder buttons, softer shadows and borders, and a single accent colour. Text and layout containers are transparent so the gradient shows through, and cards share a SurfaceBackgroundColor.
The checked-state BorderBrush was set on the ToggleButton, but TabToggleButton draws its border through ButtonGlow, which does not bind it, so the accent never showed. Target ButtonGlow directly.
@FluffyPunk thanks for the suggestion, I made the light theme warmer, the background is now a soft cream and sand tone instead of grey blue, the text is dark brown and the accent is a calm teal instead of bright blue, it should be much easier on the eyes, the dark theme did not change, new screenshots are in the description

The hover colour on the light cards was about 4.0:1, under the 4.5:1 minimum for normal text. #1B5F5A is 7:1 on cards and above 5.8:1 on the page gradient.
