Closes #457

What

On 1.68.5 the finastra.wd3 run refilled My Experience cleanly and then logged pages 3, 4 and 5 turned, while its screenshot was still My Experience with "Degree is required" on three certificate rows and the first job starting 12/2026 for Mar 2026. The dry run ended with 10 unmapped that no box on the page could ever clear.

  • Page turns on a Workday page are read from the progress bar's visible active step (progressBarActiveStep), waited for up to 30 s. Save and Continue on a step with errors draws the same step again (and drops /applyManually from the address the first time), so a turn judged by the address or body text was four turns over. The same step means the page held and its complaints go to the sweep.
  • Degrees: certificates and micro-credentials map to "Certificate", which Finastra offers (its menu is Associates / Bachelors / Honours Bachelor / Masters / Doctorate / Certificate / High School); a school whose degree the menu does not offer is removed again rather than left to hold the step.
  • Rows: a row just added is filled only once its Job Title or School box is on screen (the first job's month and year ran together and clamped to 12); a held row matched to a résumé job by its title gets its dates put right when they differ.
  • Stale questions: on a Workday page a packet question naming a row box (workExperience-39--startDate-…, degree) is never unmapped, since the section filler owns the rows, and the résumé already on the draft counts as answered. Without this the dry run could never promote.

Tests

The wizard fixture's step markers carry Workday's progress-bar id, so the three wizard runs now turn by step. The My Experience fixture holds a job with the wrong month and a school, each row with a Delete, and the résumé adds a micro-credential the menu cannot take: the held month is put right, the held school's blank Degree chosen, the missing job and school added, and the certificate row removed. Workday, UKG sections, search-box and account tests pass.

Release

chore: prepare v1.68.6 release bumps all five version files.

…ificates, fill rows once drawn (#457)

On finastra.wd3 the walk refilled My Experience and then logged pages
3, 4 and 5 turned, while the screenshot was My Experience with "Degree
is required" on three certificate rows and the first job starting
12/2026 for Mar 2026.

- Save and Continue on a step with errors draws the same step again,
and the first time drops /applyManually from the address, so a turn
judged by the address or the body text was a turn four times over.
On a Workday page the turn is read from the progress bar's visible
active step, waited for up to 30 s; the same step means the page held
and its complaints go to the sweep.
- Certificates and micro-credentials mapped to "Post-diploma studies",
which Finastra's menu (Associates to Certificate and High School)
does not offer. They are "Certificate" now, and a school whose degree
the menu lacks is removed again rather than left to hold the step.
- A row added was filled while still drawing, so month and year ran
together and clamped to 12. A new row is filled once its Job Title or
School box is on screen, and a held row matched to a résumé job by
its title gets its dates put right when they differ.
- Stale packet questions from blank rows (#455) and the résumé already
on the draft counted as unmapped, so the dry run could never promote.
On a Workday page a question naming a row box is never unmapped, and
the résumé on file is answered.

Fixture: the wizard's step markers carry Workday's progress-bar id; the
My Experience fixture holds a job with the wrong month, a school, and a
Delete per row, and the résumé adds a micro-credential the menu cannot
take.

📝 Summary

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • Bug Fixes
    • Improved Workday application handling: active-step changes are detected more reliably, and validation errors on a held step are recognized.
    • Corrected dates on saved experience rows that match résumé entries.
    • Improved education mapping: certificate entries are categorized as “Certificate,” and unsupported degrees are removed.
    • Recognized existing résumé files and prevented row-based questions from being incorrectly reported as unanswered.
  • Release
    • Updated the application version to 1.68.6.

This release updates Workday step detection, question handling, and experience and education row filling. It also updates the associated tests, backlog entry, and version declarations to 1.68.6.

Changes: Workday application fixes

Layer / File(s) Summary
Step and question handling
api/ApplyTrack.Api/Agent/Browser/BrowserSubmitter.cs, api/ApplyTrack.Api.Tests/BrowserSubmitterTests.cs
Workday page turns are detected through the active progress-bar step. Row-field questions are excluded from unmapped-question handling, and a résumé already on file counts as mapped.
Experience and education row filling
api/ApplyTrack.Api/Agent/Browser/BrowserSubmitter.cs, api/ApplyTrack.Api.Tests/BrowserSubmitterTests.cs, BACKLOG.md, .env.production.example, api/ApplyTrack.Api/ApplyTrack.Api.csproj, pyproject.toml, src/applytrack/__init__.py
New rows wait for their identifying fields to appear. Matched experience rows can have their dates corrected. Unsupported education degrees cause the row to be removed, and certificate degrees map to Certificate. Tests and backlog notes cover these changes; version declarations are updated to 1.68.6.

The Workday fixes can misread a successful page turn as stuck. They can also overwrite saved job dates when two jobs share a title, and can leave a school's required Degree blank after an unsupported row is removed. These issues should be fixed before merging.

🩺 Stability & Availability | 🟠 Major | ⚡ Quick win

Check visible errors before ending the step wait.

CountAsync() includes hidden alerts. The wizard fixture keeps a role="alert" inside its hidden sign-in panel. If a Workday step takes more than 500 ms to advance, that alert can end the wait before the active step changes. The walker then treats a successful click as a held page. Check for a visible error on the current step instead.

🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟠 Major | 🏗️ Heavy lift

Match the employer before correcting held job dates.

If two résumé jobs have the same title, FirstOrDefault selects the first for either held row. The new correct path then replaces the second row’s saved dates with the first job’s dates. Match the title and company, and assign each résumé job to at most one held row before enabling date correction.

🎯 Functional Correctness | 🟠 Major | 🏗️ Heavy lift

Reconcile held school rows after a deletion.

If the first of two held schools has an unsupported degree, deleting it shifts the second school to index zero. The caller continues at index one and never processes that school; Skip(held) also prevents it from being added later. A blank required Degree can therefore keep the step blocked. Recount or match the remaining rows after deletion, then add only schools that are still missing.
