Hi there 👋, I am Debmalya ! 😃

I'm currently pursuing an MS in Computer Science at the University of California, San Diego, where I also serve as a Teaching Assistant in the Visual Arts department for the current quarter. My work bridges technology and creativity, helping students in the Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts Major (ICAM) explore computational tools for artistic expression.

Previously, I worked as a Full Stack Software Engineer at Cognizant India for over three years, primarily in the insurance domain. My experience spans backend systems, frontend development, databases, and cloud-native practices.

I'm passionate about making technology more accessible - whether it's building intuitive tools, mentoring creators, or simplifying complex systems. I believe in empowering people from all backgrounds to engage confidently with code and computational thinking.
