PREWAVE-BE-059 — Sign Outbound Webhooks and Make Delivery Idempotent #655

Closed

Description

@dDevAhmed

Problem context

Source audit identified this distinct API production-readiness boundary.

Technical scope

Add versioned envelopes, signature/timestamp/delivery ID, retry policy, endpoint validation, and audit history.

Required tests

Receiver timeout, 2xx/4xx/5xx, redirect, duplicate, key rotation, SSRF target, and retry tests.

Acceptance criteria

  • Recipients can verify integrity/replay.
  • One logical event has stable delivery identity.
  • Unsafe endpoints are rejected.
  • Retries are bounded.

Constraints

Canonical finalized contract events remain authoritative. Bind chain data to chain/release/artifact provenance; fail closed on stale, ambiguous, unauthorized, or incomplete state. Do not weaken CI or expose secrets/protected data.

Dependencies

Non-goals

Unrelated work, mainnet deployment, or applying Stellar Wave before maintainer activation.

Complexity and points

  • High — 200 points

Candidate only; activation remains maintainer-controlled.
