Action Performed:

  1. Navigate to https://staging.new.expensify.com/
  2. Go to any 1:1 chat
  3. Open Chrome DevTools and select the Console tab
  4. Run: copy('a'.repeat(8496) + '.com')
  5. Paste the string in the composer

Expected Result:

The maximum comment length error message is not displayed.

Actual Result:

The maximum comment length error message is displayed, but the writing is still allowed.
The pasted message is 8,500 characters long.
