The Docker image has been built from dunglas/frankenphp:php8.4 since #1476, but CI and SDK publishing still tested against PHP 8.3.
config.platform.php was 8.3.33, so Composer resolved and validated dependencies as if running on PHP 8.3 while production runs 8.4. No locked package versions change. require.php is ^8.4 rather than ^8.4.27: Composer's generated vendor/composer/platform_check.php enforces the root require's lower bound against the real runtime, which would stop the app booting on any local or CI PHP below 8.4.27. The 8.4.27 floor is enforced in the Docker build instead.
dunglas/frankenphp:php8.4-trixie floats across 8.4.x patch releases. Fail the image build if it resolves to anything older than 8.4.27, which contains the 21 Oct 2026 security fixes. The build fails until FrankenPHP publishes an 8.4.27 image; the floating tag currently resolves to 8.4.26.
