Computers spend a lot of time being on but don't really do much while they're on. This is a lot of wasted potential and computing power that could be put to good use. This tool should produce a SHA256 hash of all my files in the background instead and save them for later. I think this would make practical sense since storage is really cheap and we have good compression algorithms that could shrink it smaller if space really becomes an issue but I doubt it will LOL. In addition, programs aren't really made for speed nowadays so doing some of the work in advance would help it immensely.
