Summary

First GitHub release prep for the std-only Rust binary. This does not tag or publish a release.

• Cargo.toml / Cargo.lock are 5.0.0. wikifier --version and the MCP serverInfo.version both read CARGO_PKG_VERSION, so they report 5.0.0. The launchers exec that binary.
• CHANGELOG.md moves the rewrite notes into 5.0.0 (2026-11-03): empty [dependencies], the Python 4.7 agent contract, and the measured figures already in the README Benchmarks section and scripts/benchmark_results.md.
• .github/workflows/publish.yml keeps the Ubuntu test job as the gate, then builds x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu, aarch64-apple-darwin, x86_64-apple-darwin, and x86_64-pc-windows-msvc with Rust 1.83.0 (same pin as ci.yml). Archives are wikifier-<version>-<target>.tar.gz (Unix) or .zip (Windows), plus SHA256SUMS.
• The README install section leads with those downloads, then cargo build --release. pip install wikifier still installs the archived Python 4.7 package.

Test plan

• cargo fmt --all -- --check
• cargo clippy --locked --all-targets -- -D warnings
• cargo test --locked (65 passed)
• actionlint 1.7.12 with shellcheck on publish.yml and ci.yml
• Local wikifier-5.0.0-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.tar.gz contains wikifier and prints wikifier 5.0.0
• CI on Ubuntu, macOS, and Windows (PR run 41611247916)
• Not run: the tag workflow’s macOS and Windows builds (no tag was pushed)
