Problem
.github/SPEC.md's desktop runner table didn't match the private release pipeline. It listed arm64 onmacos-14, which GitHub retires on Nov 2, 2026, while the real build runs onmacos-15. It listed Windows onwindows-latestwhere the pipeline pinswindows-2022. Nothing recorded why the Intel build usesmacos-15-intel, or which runner problems to keep watching.Approach
Docs only. The table now matches the runners the private
thinkrail-signingpipeline uses (JetBrains/thinkrail-signing#19 adds the Intel build). An Intel runner watch note records the decision so it gets re-checked:macos-15-intelruns only the x64 build and the finalized-DMG install smoke. Stapling, DMG creation and signature checks stay on arm64macos-15, becausexcrun staplerfails on the Intel image (runner-images#14924).macos-26-intelis avoided: itsiconservicesagentcrash-loop hangs app-launch tests (#14751). Electrobun's own Intel desktop validation stays onmacos-15-intelfor the same reason.macos-15-intelits last hosted x86_64 image, available until about August 2027. Before then we must choose between a self-hosted Intel runner and dropping the Intel builds. The private pipeline's SPEC owns these baselines and carries the same note.
