- go.mod: toolchain line set to the fixed Go version (kaf6/go.mod) - CI: setup-go pinned to the fixed patch release (.github/workflows/main.yml, .github/workflows/pr.yml, .github/workflows/release.yml)
bitnami/kafka:3.6 is no longer published, so the service container could not start. metrics.go was not gofmt clean on main.
The k6 scripts import ensureTopic from ./lib/topics.js, but the file was never committed because .gitignore ignores every lib/ directory.

Go 1.27.3 and 1.26.10, released on 2026-10-19, fix CVE-2026-111943 (GO-2026-6809). Certificate.Verify in crypto/x509 now rejects a list of compromised intermediate certificates. Every Go version before 1.26.10, and 1.27.0 to 1.27.2, is affected.
govulncheck reports crypto/x509 Certificate.Verify as reachable from this code when it is built with the Go version used before this change.
Changes:
Checked locally: go build and go vet pass, and govulncheck with the new toolchain reports no GO-2026-6809 finding.
