The title-cleanup dry run rejected existing GitHub cards because source verification treated work-item search descriptions as authoritative details. Search projections can be incomplete, so the presence of a description field is insufficient.
Always fetch each candidate through GetWorkitem and verify its ID and leading GitHub source URL before matching or renaming. Source validation, duplicate detection, and subject-only writes remain unchanged.
Validation: all 28 Python tests and the selected repository checks passed. New regressions cover empty, null, HTML-placeholder, summary, and valid-looking search descriptions, as well as a detail response whose source differs from the search projection. The regressions failed before the fix. No card writes have been performed by this patch itself.
