Pull Request: Enterprise-Grade UI/UX Overhaul, SVG Icon System, Landing Hero & Caregiver Profile

Overview

This PR transitions the Second Opinion interface from an MVP design to an enterprise-grade, polished experience suitable for executive and judge demonstrations at the Amazon Developer Hackathon 2026.

All emojis have been replaced with a stroke SVG icon library. A new product landing/hero page has been introduced alongside a dedicated Caregiver Profile management view within the Family Console.

1. Zero-Emoji Design System & Stroke SVG Icon Library

• Centralized Iconography: Created apps/web/src/components/icons.tsx with 35+ Lucide-style stroke SVGs (24x24 viewBox, 1.75px stroke width, rounded caps/joins).
• 100% Emoji Removal: Audited and replaced all emojis across navigation, scenario chips, threat cards, quorum voting, channel badges, policy legends, and status indicators.
• Accessible Indicators: Statuses use animated CSS pulse-dots and semantic tags with full high-contrast accessibility compliance.

2. Modern Product Landing Page (/)

• High-impact hero section with radial gradient accents and quick CTAs (Launch Live Simulator and Open Family Console).
• Interactive Defense-in-Depth architecture breakdown highlighting:
  • Deterministic Risk Engine (Rules decide, models never do)
  • Streamable HTTP Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server
  • Multi-Caregiver Quorum Interception
• Enterprise trust badges emphasizing fail-closed design and zero-PII data isolation.

3. Caregiver Profile Page (/family/profile)

• Added a dedicated caregiver identity and security view in the Family Console:
  • Initials avatar, approval rank (Approver #1 / #2), contact handle, and household association (hh_demo).
  • Quorum authority briefing detailing single-veto supremacy and fail-closed timeout boundaries.
  • Active notification dispatch indicators (In-App Push, HTML Email Digest).
  • Built-in Demo Profile Quick Switcher allowing instant switching between Priya and Arjun during live demos.
  • Audit trail of recent household decisions.

4. Hardware Simulators & Responsive Design

• Refined Echo Show screen frame (glassmorphic device frame, Wi-Fi/battery status, audio waveform animation, and text input).
• Refined iPhone hardware frame with dynamic status pill and voting quorum controls.
• Tested and verified on viewport widths from 390px (mobile) to 1280px+ (desktop) with zero horizontal scrolling.

5. Fresh Documentation Assets

• Regenerated all 10 PNG screenshots in docs/assets/ directly from the live stack using Playwright.
• Clean .gitignore ensuring scratch directories, temporary artifacts, and databases are excluded.
