A full-stack community-driven map, featuring user-submitted content moderation through Discord integration. Has since been archived, though it served its purpose as a functioning community tool during active development.
This is a portfolio copy of a private project I developed with 2 others. The original repository contained ~250,000 map tile images (removed here due to size) and was used by community members to share and discover in-game locations during testing phases.
This system allows community members to submit pins (locations) on an interactive map, which are then reviewed by moderators through Discord before being added to the public map. The workflow automates the entire submission, review, and publication process.
User Flow:
- User visits the web map and submits a new location with details and an image
- Submission is sent to a Discord channel where moderators can review it
- Moderators click "Accept" or "Deny" buttons in Discord
- Approved pins are automatically added to the database and appear on the public map
- REST API endpoint for receiving submissions from the web app
- Posts submissions to category-specific Discord channels with interactive buttons
- Handles moderator interactions and submits approved pins to the database
- Manages error reporting and logging
- Processes high-resolution map images into tiled pyramids
- Generates multiple zoom levels optimized for Leaflet.js
- Produced ~250,000 tile images for various zoom levels (not included in this repository)
- Interactive map interface with custom tile layers
- Dynamic pin system with categories (Resources, Mobs, World Bosses, etc.)

This is a demonstration repository. The original production version included all map tiles and additional configuration. The project was successfully deployed and used during testing phases before being archived.
