The old preview was a 1000x480 app screenshot that chat clients cropped and rendered unreadable. The new card is rendered at 2400x1260 so iMessage shows it across the full bubble width, and shipped as JPEG under 600 KB because WhatsApp silently drops larger og:image files. sips produced a 225 KB file at PSNR 34.9 dB. cjpeg at quality 85 with 4:2:0 subsampling and progressive scans reaches 118 KB at PSNR 47.3 dB against the same PNG master, so the card is both half the size and visibly cleaner. The sRGB profile is embedded explicitly because cjpeg does not carry the marker over from the PNG, and Apple clients tint an untagged JPEG with the display profile, which would shift the brand red.
