Browser-first laboratory for discovering physically realizable computational behaviour without exposing human computing concepts to the search process.
The first slice deliberately contains no Explorer. It establishes the substrate Explorer must not be able to cheat: a voxel world, provenance-checked materials, a deterministic physics oracle, anonymous physics and tamper-evident evidence.
- TypeScript for the scientific model and orchestration;
- Three.js WebGPURenderer for WebGPU rendering with WebGL2 fallback;
- WGSL for future GPU compute kernels;
- Vite and Vitest for the application and invariant tests.
The current physics runs on the CPU as a transparent baseline. GPU kernels must reproduce it within declared error bounds before becoming authoritative.

diffusion, free thermal strain, strict provenance, anonymous Explorer payload,
EXO-E0001 T0 distinction with repeated X0, X1, NULL and SHAM
conditions, statistical effects and content-addressed records. This is a D1
development baseline, not a discovery or independent D2 verification.
EXO-E0002 adds a manually designed two-region structure and equal-energy regional
thermal interventions. It validates characterization, blind prediction, inverse
binary control, and a separately calibrated third state on the same 10³ world.
Explorer remains off. The browser UI exposes actionable Y0, Y1, and Y2
targets after the controller passes its preregistered campaign.
EXO-E0003 adds a time axis: write, source-off washout, delayed readout, a retention curve and blind history recall. Its deliberately volatile thermal fixture supports P0–P2 but fails passive reset at P3, so it is reported as residual persistence and never as memory-like behaviour.
D1 SUPPORTED means only that the declared model and controls support the claim
inside this simulation. SHA-256 verifies record integrity, never scientific
truth. WebGPU and FEM remain pending until they independently execute the same
preregistered fixtures within declared margins.
