Proposed changes

Hosts without a local browser, such as machines reached over SSH, can now enroll for PIG trace collection by approving from another device. This adds that path to Enroll your hosts and announces it in the September 2026 changelog.

Source: Promptless/promptless #5250 (backend POST /v1/instruction-hub/host-enrollments/device-sessions) and its client counterpart Promptless/pig-toolchain #98 (promptless-host-runtime enroll --device, stacked on pig-toolchain #91).

• Enroll your hosts, step 3: documents enroll --host <host> --device: the command prints an approval link to open on another device, needs no local browser, inbound port, or loopback callback, waits about 35 seconds, and returns "status": "setup_pending" if approval is still pending. Rerunning resumes the same approval until its 15-minute expiry, after which a new link is printed.
• Troubleshooting: adds rows for a host with no local browser and for the per-deployment rate limit (429, 20 creations per minute and 100 pending sessions).
• Changelog (September 2026): a New Features entry for browserless host enrollment.

Open items to confirm before merge

• Neither source PR has merged. #5250 must deploy before pig-toolchain docs: Document Slack passive channel listening feature #98's --device client is released, so keep this PR in draft until both are merged and the client ships in a published toolchain release.
• The hosted_api_base_url hub setting and PROMPTLESS_HOSTED_API_BASE_URL override from pig-toolchain docs: Document Slack passive channel listening feature #98 are left undocumented here, because the per-hub worker_base_url/dashboard_base_url settings they extend (pig-toolchain docs: Remove ReadMe API references from documentation platforms #91) aren't documented yet either. Only custom installations need them. Document all three together when docs: Remove ReadMe API references from documentation platforms #91 lands.
• If the Cursor suggestion (docs: Document Cursor native trace collection for PIG (analyzer 0.3.3+) #1047) merges first, --device also applies to --host cursor.
