docs: Use PIG names for 0.3.5 and add the supervisor bootstrap for 0.3.4 installations by promptless[bot] · Pull Request #1129 · Promptless/promptless.ai

Merge after #1039, then retarget this PR to main. This PR is stacked on #1039's branch, which refreshes these pages for 0.3.4. PIG 0.3.5 and 0.3.6 are both in pig-deploy's stable catalog (0.3.1, 0.3.3, 0.3.4, 0.3.5, 0.3.6; 0.3.6 promoted in pig-deploy#54), so no release hold remains.

Proposed changes

Promptless/promptless#5450 and its companion Promptless/pig-deploy#47 rename the worker configuration for 0.3.5. The worker chart's top-level instructionHub values become pig, and the analyzer reads PIG_* environment variables in place of INSTRUCTION_HUB_*. Promptless/promptless#5531 documents, for Promptless's own production installation, that this rename also blocks automatic updates from 0.3.4. A 0.3.4 supervisor still sets INSTRUCTION_HUB_* variables on the new analyzer, and it updates its own image only after the analyzer rollout. Supervisor-managed installations on 0.3.4 therefore need a one-time supervisor bootstrap before they can follow stable again. Promptless/promptless#5532 records that 0.3.6 is now the stable release, so these pages name 0.3.6 as current. 0.3.6 keeps the 0.3.5 PIG_* contract, schema revision 5, and chart values; only the chart versions and release tooling changed.

manage-updates-and-recovery.mdx: adds Upgrade a 0.3.4 installation to 0.3.5 or later. It explains why the update can't complete on its own and gives the bootstrap steps: pause, stop the supervisor, unpin and unpause, upgrade the bootstrap chart to the highest stable version, then verify the release and Ingress.
manual-helm-reference.mdx: describes chart 0.3.6, the current release with the 0.3.5 pig values. Uses pig, pig.analysis, and pig.analysis.modelApi for Helm keys, and the PIG_ and PIG_ANALYSIS_ prefixes for environment variables, including the Secret-backed PIG_INSTALL_TOKEN, PIG_CUSTOMER_POSTGRES_DSN, PIG_ANALYSIS_MODEL_API_KEY, and PIG_MIGRATION_POSTGRES_DSN. The mirror row now matches the published chart's pig.analysis.mirrorRoot key and its /var/lib/pig/analysis-mirrors default.
manual-helm.mdx: uses chart 0.3.6 in the intro and helm pull command, and pig: in the example values file. Adds an upgrade note: rename instructionHub to pig when upgrading from 0.3.4, or rendering fails with pig.configHash is required.
deploy-the-analyzer-worker.mdx, plan-your-deployment.mdx, deploy-on-azure.mdx, deploy-on-gcp.mdx, reference/faq.mdx: name PIG 0.3.6 as the current stable release. 0.3.6 is an AWS-only release, like 0.3.4 and 0.3.5.
configuration-reference.mdx: the pointer to the manual Helm reference now names worker chart 0.3.6.
october-2026.mdx: the 0.3.5 changelog entry also links the supervisor bootstrap for 0.3.4 installations.
tests/search-quality.test.ts: the exact-identifier search case now queries PIG_ANALYSIS_MODEL_NAME, the name the reference page documents.

PIGDeployment fields, Kubernetes Secret keys, and the pig-supervisor chart values are unchanged between 0.3.4 and 0.3.6.

To confirm at merge

If a release after 0.3.6 reaches the stable catalog before this merges, update the "current stable release" statements and the worker chart version.
The bootstrap steps follow the production runbook in #5531 and the supervisor source; pig-deploy's UPGRADING.md does not cover the 0.3.4 to 0.3.5 transition yet. Have the PIG owner confirm the steps, and the recovery advice for an installation whose 0.3.4 supervisor has already started a transition to 0.3.5 (the page says to contact Promptless).
pig-deploy v0.3.5...v0.3.6 changes only Chart.yaml versions in both charts, and the 0.3.6 worker chart is pullable from oci://ghcr.io/promptless/charts/pig-trace-analyzer. Confirm the published 0.3.6 chart still uses pig.analysis.mirrorRoot.
