On TestFlight build 1.1 (field test run 1, PR #23), marking the AC unit shows "Tap the ac unit". This is B-16 in the verification bug triage (verification/product/bug-triage.md on t3/verification).
Cause.ScanCopy.markingPrompt lowercases the feature name for every kind (ScanCopy.swift#L157, used at L171-L172), so "AC unit" becomes "ac unit". The same triage item notes that VoiceOver reads "Mark ac unit", and reads "ft" and "in" as letters.
Fix. Keep "AC" in capitals: give each kind its own mid-sentence noun instead of lowercasing. For VoiceOver, add accessibility labels that say "feet" and "inches".
Seen again in field test run 2 (build 3.1): "Tap the ac unit / Put the circle on it and tap Mark, or tap it on screen." at 1:32. Build 3.1 predates the fix in PR #34.
Build 4.1 field test (TestFlight 4.1, beta45017ba, iPhone 14 without LiDAR, three runs on 2026-09-26): fixed.
The mark prompt now reads "Tap the AC unit": run 1 at 4:19–4:25 and run 2 at 3:46. Run 3 marked nothing, so it didn't come up. VoiceOver wasn't checked.
