Deleting a stored GitHub/Linear adapter credential now makes the next sync fail with a clean "adapter not configured" CONFLICT rather than crashing or using a stale token (the credential is decrypted per-call, so nothing is cached). - deleteAdapterForProject(projectId, type) query -- the revocation primitive. - scripts/revoke-credential.ts + `npm run revoke-credential <project_id> <github|linear>` operator script (mirrors rotate-encryption-key). No MCP tool: the mandated 14-tool contract has none, and kt_register_project is the only credential-mutation tool (rotate, not remove). - Integration tests: revoke -> clean CONFLICT for both adapters; the other adapter untouched; idempotent; re-register stores the new credential. - Docs: PRD credential section, TRD 5.3 revocation bullet, ROADMAP T5.4 done (all of T5 now complete). Full suite green (377). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01278w3fed8ZcXjHpKrFHWDw

Preserve the key generation when deleting the last adapter
When this revokes the final adapter after one or more encryption-key rotations, it also deletes the only persisted record of the current key generation. A later registration calls upsertAdapter, whose COALESCE(MAX(key_version), 1) then labels the new credential as generation 1 even though it was encrypted with the current generation-N key; subsequent rotations continue from the wrong value, defeating key_version's documented audit/future-rotation purpose. Preserve the current generation independently of revocable adapter rows.
Useful? React with 👍 / 👎.
The panel (4/4, consensus 0.95) rated the credential-delete script fix-then-merge. Applied the safety hardening: - --yes confirmation: a bare run PREVIEWS (shows target + adapter existence) and deletes nothing; --yes is required to actually delete (fat-finger guard). - Audit line on delete (timestamp, operator USER/SUDO_USER, project, type, rows_deleted). - Explicit reminder that this removes KnoTrack's stored copy ONLY — the operator must also revoke the token at GitHub/Linear provider-side. - Exported parseArgs + unit tests (valid, --yes any position, missing project, out-of-allowlist type). Docs (PRD/TRD) updated with the preview/--yes flow and the provider-side note. Full suite green (381). Addresses the remaining panel-checklist items: UUID-validate project_id before any DB mutation; DELETE ... RETURNING id for a precise (secret-free) audit id; show the target + adapter existence before deleting on --yes; document the in-flight-sync nuance (a sync already running may finish with the old token; revocation takes effect from the next sync). Tests: cross-project isolation (revoking one project leaves another untouched) + a non-UUID rejection case. Full suite green (383). …#27 round) Addresses two CodeRabbit review comments on PR #27: - T5.3 detailed status still said "offline-verified" with a remaining real-workspace acceptance gate; it was dogfooded live in PRs #25/#26. Updated to "dogfooded in a real Linear workspace" and marked the gate cleared. - T5.4 entry labeled "unit-tested"; it has both unit (tests/unit/revoke-credential-args.test.ts) and integration (tests/integration/revoke-credential.test.ts) coverage. Relabeled "unit- and integration-tested". Docs-only; no code touched. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01278w3fed8ZcXjHpKrFHWDw

| - **There is no per-client identity anywhere in this model.** A token that authorizes a call does not resolve to a "device," a "client," or any other identifier the server tracks — nothing is stamped onto an Event to say which credential wrote it (§4.8's Event shape has no such field). Any valid token has full read/write access to every project the instance hosts; isolating two teams' data means running two separate KnoTrack instances (consistent with the single-tenant-per-deployment model, §5.1), not scoping tokens within one instance. | ||
| - **Rotation is manual, by design — there is no in-band rotation API in v1:** generate a new token (`npm run generate-token`); append it to `KNOTRACK_API_TOKENS` and redeploy (both old and new tokens are now valid simultaneously, which is what makes this zero-downtime); update each MCP client's configuration to the new token, one at a time; once every client is confirmed updated, remove the old token from `KNOTRACK_API_TOKENS` and redeploy again. There is no automatic expiry; operators are advised to rotate on a schedule of their choosing, or immediately (accepting the resulting downtime for not-yet-updated clients) if a token is suspected leaked. | ||
| - Adapter credentials (a GitHub personal access token, a Linear API key) are supplied inline as **input** to `kt_register_project`'s `adapters` field (§4.1) — the only way to set or rotate them, since there is no separate "update credentials" tool. They are encrypted with AES-256-GCM via Node's built-in `node:crypto` (key from the `KNOTRACK_ENCRYPTION_KEY` environment variable — deliberately not `pgcrypto`, so the decryption key never has to transit the Postgres connection or appear in a slow-query log or a web-based SQL console) before being persisted into the `adapters` table's `encrypted_credential` column (a packed `iv || authTag || ciphertext` blob), and are **never** included in any MCP tool's output — every tool returns only ids and derived fields, never the credential itself. Rotating the encryption key itself (as opposed to a leaked adapter credential) is a separate, operator-run, offline procedure via `npm run rotate-encryption-key`, which re-encrypts every stored credential under a new key inside one transaction. | ||

Revoking a single leaked adapter credential (as opposed to rotating the key) is likewise an operator action, via `npm run revoke-credential <project_id> <github|linear>` (a bare run previews; `--yes` performs the delete), which deletes that project's adapter row; the next sync then fails with a clean `CONFLICT: adapter not configured` until it is re-registered. This removes KnoTrack's stored copy only — the operator must **also** revoke the token at GitHub/Linear to invalidate it provider-side. There is no revocation MCP tool — the mandated 14-tool set has none — and because the credential is decrypted per sync call, a revoked token is never served from a cache. |

Pass --yes through npm in the revocation documentation.
npm run needs -- before dash-prefixed script options. Without it, npm can consume --yes, and the command remains in preview mode. (docs.npmjs.com)

Reject surplus and unknown CLI arguments.
parseArgs removes --yes and uses only the first two remaining tokens. It ignores all other tokens. For example, revoke-credential <uuid> github accidental --yes still deletes the GitHub adapter. Reject unrecognized flags and require exactly two positional arguments before allowing deletion.
Proposed fix
export function parseArgs(args: string[]): RevokeArgs {
const confirmed = args.includes('--yes');
+ const unknownOptions = args.filter((arg) => arg.startsWith('-') && arg !== '--yes');
const positional = args.filter((a) => a !== '--yes');

throw new Error('usage: revoke-credential <project_id> <github|linear> [--yes]');
