The workspace maintained a second package/extract/recompile path for private Rust crates, although releases ship Bazel-built CLI archives, MCP bundles, and the npm SDK.
Remove the dispatch-only crate distribution workflow, its 998-line battery, package feature/profile/layout helpers, private Cargo package whitelists, and the extracted-crate dashboard embedding path. Remove the distribution-only binary override from the Rust test launcher. Keep production archive/MCPB packaging, checksums/signatures, immutable release recovery, installer coverage, and npm tarball conformance.
Move the existing MCP conformance journey and LSP initialize handshake to
shipped-cli, using its production binary in temporary isolated profiles. Declare the packaged LSP tool's Python import root and add its existing framing/platform helper checks as a Bazel test so missing helper imports fail before the production smoke step.Verification:
bazel test //scripts:packaged_lsp_bridge_test --test_output=errorspassed.bazel run //scripts:packaged_lsp_bridgeandbazel run //scripts:mcp-conformance-smoke.shstart and reach their argument validation; the latter exported executable source target is runnable.ModuleNotFoundError: lib.process_controlbefore the import-root fix; the corrected executable reaches its usage error.git diff --checkpassed.
