Hi,
The SigProfilerSuite team might be aware of the recent re-classification of the indel taxonomy (Koh, G.C.C., ..., Nik-Zainal, S., et al. 2025, Nature). Based on its design (i.e., expansion and collapse of specific mutagenic 'channels'), it should theoretically be possible to directly 'convert' between the two classification systems (i.e., input a matrix in ID83 format and output the same matrix in InD89 format and vice versa).
I was wondering if this would be something the team is developing or looking into?
